Put on my first 'diet' when I was 7 years old, by my calculations, I'd been on one sort of diet or another for nearly my whole life.

Until I stopped. Because none of them worked.

​

In addition to struggling with weight gain from emotional eating, I was diagnosed with overactive adrenals, being hypothyroid (Hashimoto's thyroiditis), and sensitivity to 25 different foods, all of which contributed to weight gain, fatigue, brain fog and depression.

​

So after a few more years of trying to avoid foods I loved, and 'failing' on diets that didn't work, I stopped dieting. And I stopped treating food as something 'bad'. Food has become my medicine -- a way to nourish and nurture my body that makes me feel well-fed. And the weight began slowly coming off, my hair and skin looked healthier, and the brain fog and fatigue are gone.

My search for healing and health has included studying Polarity Therapy, Iyengar-style yoga, stress management techniques,

meditation, Inner Engineering and Western herbalism.

​

I work from the concept of bioindividuality -- that there is not a one-size fits all path to healing and health -- but that each person's journey is unique to them. And we can nourish ourselves through more than what we eat.

​

Best of all, is understanding eating healthy food is a gift to myself for life, creating a sense peace and well-being that

no diet ever did. Because health and healing are not a destination -- they are the journey.
